On 20 November, the Polish Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract with the Warsaw-based WB Group for the delivery of Warmate loitering munitions for Polish land, territorial defence, and special forces (SF).
“The contract is for 1,000 of these missiles – at least in the first instance. They will be delivered to military units later this year, with implementation completed next year,” announced Antoni Macierewicz, Poland’s Minister of National Defence.
The two-year deal was signed at WB Group headquarters in Ozarow Mazowiecki. The loitering munition system was developed by private and government-owned companies and military institutes. According to Macierewicz, the deal is worth “slightly over PLN100 million” (USD28 million).
