Mauritanian landing ship construction gets underway

(Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group)A ceremony was held in China on 9 November to mark the start of construction for a 1,750-tonne landing ship for Mauritania, according to Chinese media reports that cited the Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group.

An artist’s impression of the ship displayed during the ceremony showed a landing ship with a helicopter deck at the rear, a 76 mm main gun, and carrying two landing craft on davits.
