The Greek and Italian air forces will soon begin policing Montenegrin airspace on a 15-day rotational basis, Montenegrin Defence Minister Predrag Boskovic said in an interview with the RTCG national radio and television service on 30 October. He added that Greek jets conducted a high-altitude test patrol over Montenegro on 17 October and that negotiations are still under way on allied air policing of Montenegro free of charge under similar arrangements to those Albania has had since 2009.
Boskovic reported that recent military consultations with Greece were focused on deepening co-operation in the field of education, with Montenegro especially interested in its officers attending Athen's air force academy.
