The Bolivian Army showcased its new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during a military exercise, ‘Paucarpata II’, on 27 October.
The Bolivian government has not revealed what type of UAV was acquired, but Jane’s has reviewed footage of a 14 October ceremony, during which President Evo Morales delivered new equipment and vehicles to the army.
Referencing comments from the 27 October event and footage from the 14 October event, it appears the UAVs are from China’s Yuneec Electric Aviation. The six rotors suggest that the platforms are probably the Typhoon H, which possesses “a 360-degree gimbal camera and retractable landing gear”.
