IED attack kills two people in Ukraine's Kiev

THE bodyguard of Radical Party MP Ihor Mosiychuk and another person were killed and three others - including Mosiychuk - were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED), comprising 400-600 grams of trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 7mm balls, and placed on a motorcycle by unidentified assailants, detonated as they left the headquarters of a television channel in Ukraine's capital Kiev on 26 October, the BBC reported. Officials stated the attack may have been an assassination attempt and an advisor for the Ministry of the Interior described it as a terrorist act. No group or individual immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
