The management of Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems Australia (tkMSA) has bought out the company from its German parent group, it has been announced. The company is now known as Australian Maritime Technologies Pty Ltd (AMT), its name before ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) acquired it in 2013.
Speaking to Jane’s on 18 October, AMT’s managing director Rob Dunbar said the company would continue to focus on naval design, engineering, and project management services. “The business keeps on running the same way it has,” he said. “We are not doing anything different. It is the same business entity but under a different ownership.”
