Security forces arrest a suspected would-be suicide bomber in Afghanistan's Kabul

A SUSPECTED would-be suicide bomber was arrested by security forces during a counter-terrorism operation in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on 14 October, BBC News reported. Reports added that the suspect reportedly drove a lorry containing 30 containers filled with ammonium nitrate and two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), each weighing 100kg, that were concealed under boxes of tomatoes. The suspect was shot and wounded by security forces during an attempt to stop him at a checkpoint.
