AT LEAST four people were killed and 39 were wounded during a small-arms and suicide attack by three suspected Islamic State militants targeting a court complex in Misrata in Libya's Tripolitania region on 4 October, Reuters reported. A suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the gate of the court before other militants assaulted using small-arms. Two of the attackers subsequently detonated suicide vests and another was shot dead by security forces. Security forces personnel also defused a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) that was intended to be used in the attack. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
