Fincantieri plans to list its Australian subsidiary on the country’s national stock exchange if it is selected for the SEA 5000 project to build nine Future Frigates for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

In related developments, Fincantieri also said it is preparing to expand the presence of Fincantieri Australia following its establishment in Canberra in December 2016 and that it has recently placed “pilot orders” with local companies in Australia in preparation for the RAN programme.
