The US Air Force’s (USAF’s) Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) office is planning to award a contract for the spacecraft portion of the ORS-8 mission that is worth 455% more than what the entire programme was appropriated in fiscal year 2017 (FY 2017).
ORS director Colonel Shahnaz Punjani told Jane’s in a 21 September interview that the ORS-8 spacecraft contract would be worth just more than USD100 million.
