The Canadian government has again delayed a deadline for bidders to submit proposals for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) programme, and industry now has until 17 November to respond.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) on 22 September confirmed that the 17 November date was decided in conjunction with Ottawa and Irving Shipbuilding Inc.
Draft bids were submitted in June 2017 and the request for proposals (RFP) had set a deadline for the end of August. The later November deadline means no decision on the CSC will be made until 2018.
The PSPC said completion of draft proposals led to changes in the RFP.
