Danish software house Systematic launched the latest version of its SitaWare Frontline battle management system (BMS) at DSEI 2017 in London. Frontline is the vehicle-mounted element of Systematic’s SitaWare command and control (C2) software suite, which is in use in a number of countries and additionally includes Sitaware Headquarters for static command posts and SitaWare Edge for dismounted users.
Frontline 2.0 provides a complete redesign of the user interface (UI) to better align the system with the typical UI found on an iOS or Android tablet. Hans Jørgen Bohlbro, Systematic’s director of product management, digital C4I systems, told Jane’s that the development of the existing Frontline UI had begun in 2010, approximately simultaneous with the first launch of Apple's iPad.
