Ceasefire breach likely to degrade SPLM-N in Blue Nile, reducing capability to target Sudanese government, oil assets

Anti-government Sudanese People's Liberation Movement – North (SPLM-N) forces led by Malik Agar on 15 September reported that Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) had advanced 40 kilometres southwest from Blue Nile state's capital, Ad-Damazin, towards Taga area in Ingessana Hills.

The SPLM-N claimed this advance breached a ceasefire agreement with the government. An SAF spokesperson on 17 September officially denied the report.
