DSEI 2017: Qioptiq develops JaguIR family of thermal cameras

The JaguIR range is designed for land and maritime applications, including surveillance and integration in weapon stations It comprises three systems: the JaguIR-L long range variant, JaguIR-C compact system, and the JaguIR rugged solution. Each system uses high operating temperature (HOT) mercury, cadmium, telluride (MCT) medium wave infrared (MWIR) detector operating in a spectral range of 3–5 µm.

The JaguIR-L and JaguIR-C have a choice of array formats that include 640x480 with a 16-µm pixel pitch, 1024x768 using a 10-µm pixel pitch, and 1280x1024 with an 8-µm pixel pitch. JaguIR uses a 640x512 detector with a 16-µm pixel pitch.

All variants feature x14 continuous optical zoom lenses with a focal length of 30 mm to 410 mm that provide a narrow field of view (FOV) of 1.4° and a wide FOV of 19.4°. The systems also include electronic zoom functionality.
