CP Cases (stand S5-100) has introduced the new lightweight Airship protective case.
Designed for the transportation of delicate systems such as communications equipment, Airship is 50 per cent lighter than other comparative offerings, and was developed in response to a market need for better and lighter protective cases.
The company originally developed the storage for the French armed forces, and they contain bonded layers of honeycomb polypropylene and rigid closed cell foam machined to match the equipment they are protecting.
Airship includes a weatherproof seal between the base and the lid, made possible by routing the mating seal from the substrate closed cell foam. This seal is accredited to IP66, which means the contents are protected against gale force winds and heavy rain in addition to being sand- and dustproof.
CP Cases is scheduling the Airship for MIL-STD-810G environmental factors testing.
