- Land Ceptor will replace the British Army's Rapier FSC system
The final configuration of the British Army's Land Ceptor air defence system made its public debut at DSEI 2017.
Land Ceptor is to replace the deployed Rapier Field Standard C (FSC) system used by the Royal Artillery, which has an out-of-service date (OSD) of 2020.
Developed by MBDA, Land Ceptor features the next-generation Common Anti-air Modular Missile (CAMM) also used by the Royal Navy’s Sea Ceptor air defence system, which has recently completed a series of successful trials from the Type 23 frigate HMS Argyll .
