UK-based company Inzpire announced on 13 September that it will provide its GECO Air tablet-based mission system to the Indonesian Air Force (Tentera Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara: TNI-AU) in conjunction with its in-country partner PT Kadomas Aviasindo.
“Once in service, GECO [Air] will significantly enhance situational awareness for the TNI-AU during front line Fast Jet operations and provide a cost-effective digital upgrade to in-cockpit avionics,” Alex Mitchell, the company’s head of business development, was quoted as saying in a statement.
According to Inzpire, the mission system, which can be used as a stand-alone device or integrated directly into an aircraft, is designed to deliver enhanced situational awareness and safety benefits across a fleet of five fixed-wing aircraft types.
