Leidos is in the process of bringing online the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MoD’s) Defence Fulfilment Centre (DFC), the company has told Jane’s .
The contract, known as the Logistic Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) programme, formally started in August 2015 and is currently subject to a three-year transition period, with a further 10-year operational period from 2018.
Under the contract, Leidos is to provide storage and distribution for the MoD’s materiel, which includes a global freight service and procurement and inventory management of food, packed fuels, clothing, medical materiel, and general supplies.
