Optimal vision [DSEI17D1]

Barneveld-based Dutch company Orlaco Products (Stand S6-264), a developer and producer of high-quality camera and monitor systems, has fundamentally improved its AMOS IR-LED compact cameras. The new FAMOS IR-LED combines advanced technology with an integrated, sturdy design, providing optimal (night) vision under all circumstances, even in rain, fog and winter conditions, for maritime vessels, industrial vehicles and heavy equipment.

The camera, which operates at temperatures from -40°C to +85°C (IR to +55°C), contains four LEDs for a light output of 0.05 Lux. These are integrated behind the UV-permeable housing, offering better protection and an increased viewing angle. Similar to the AMOS line, the IR-LEDs are separate from the lens to prevent loss of light and ensure that the operator has full view. Smart algorithms on the advanced CMOS sensor continuously calculate the light circumstances and automatically set the proper IR-LED activation (0-100 per cent) for optimal view, up to 25m (82ft) in the dark.

The 80° or 118° angle camera lens features a scratch-resistant coating and is constantly heated to prevent moisture and congealment. The new plastic housing and the two-component automotive potting compound are said to make the cameras 100 per cent watertight and extra resistant to shocks, vibration, dust, dirt and dangerous substances (IP68 and IP69K). A live image-indicator (safety ticker) indicates whether the image is frozen during use. The FAMOS IR-LED Mirror version automatically displays the image in the mirror for rear view.
