Poland has offered Indonesia partnership status on programmes to develop and build radar systems and light armoured vehicles, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Jakarta has said.
The collaboration programme was proposed by Polish government officials in Indonesia on 25 August, said the MoD. It features Polish technology transfers followed by co-production in Indonesia. The programme also depends on orders from Indonesia.
The MoD added that the defence ministries of the two countries would establish a joint working group to explore opportunities for collaboration. Indonesian defence officials are also expected to visit Polish defence companies in the near future, the MoD added.
