The Philippines Department of National Defense (DND) has relaunched a programme to procure long range patrol aircraft (LRPA).
An invitation to bid was published by the DND on 26 August, with the programme valued at PHP5.9 billion (USD115 million).
The project features the acquisition of two anti-submarine warfare-capable LRPAs for the Philippine Air Force (PAF). The programme also includes various aircraft sensors, mission support facilities, and an integrated logistics support package.
The tender documents state that a pre-bid conference will be held on 8 September, while bid opening is scheduled for 22 September.
