Australia reveals design of new shipyard at Osborne

The Australian Department of Defence unveiled its plans for a new shipyard in Osborne, near Adelaide, on 24 August, alongside the naming of key board members of newly formed company Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI).

The state-owned company, which will be responsible for the development and construction of the new Osborne facility, was established in March 2017 and forms an essential part of plans announced in October 2016 to split government-owned shipbuilder ASC into three separate entities.
