Army-2017: Kalashnikov demonstrates electric motorcycle for special forces

Russia`s Kalashnikov Group, a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation, has demonstrated a new electric motorcycle for special operations forces at the Army-2017 international military-technical exhibition held outside Moscow.

The motorcycle is designed for search and reconnaissance missions in rugged terrain. It is nearly silent as a traditional combustion engine has been replaced by an electric drive. The motorbike is fitted with a folding cargo platform, stowage for an assault rifle, and modular lightweight load-carrying equipment (MOLLE) outer covers fitted with pouches for ammunition, individual equipment, food and water, and other kit.
