Indonesian MoD looks to relocate defence companies

The Indonesian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said it plans to relocate the country's biggest state-owned defence companies to Lampung province, on the western island of Sumatra, to provide greater scope for industrial expansion.

The MoD said on 23 August that the plan features aerospace manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), land systems specialist PT Pindad, and naval shipbuilder PT PAL.
