- GA-ASI believes communication denial capabilities hold promise in era of contested airspace

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), is working on communication denial capabilities for its unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) as the company prepares for an era operating in contested environments, as opposed to the uncontested environments of Iraq and Afghanistan over the last 15 years.
GA-ASI president for Aircraft Systems, David Alexander, told reporters on 16 August that many of these communication denial capabilities would be simple additions to the company’s line of aircraft.
