UAV airstrip under construction in Macedonia

The Army of the Republic of Macedonia (ARM) and US Army Europe's 2nd Cavalry Regiment Engineering Squadron are conducting joint exercises in the Krivolak Training Area, the largest military base in Macedonia located near the city of Negotino. Exercise ‘Dragoon Guardian 17’, running from 28 July to 10 August, is focused on clearing improvised explosive devices, target practice, and construction of a 300 m-long airstrip for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which would remain for future use by the ARM.
