Turkey releases RFIs for UAV development

05 July 2017

Turkey's Defence Industries Undersecretariat (SSM) released a request for information (RFI) on 29 June for the development of mini unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for reconnaissance.

The RFIs are open to local companies only and the deadline for responses is 28 July, according to an SSM statement posted on its website.

In a related development, SSM also released an RFI on 6 June for the development of ship-based vertical take-off and landing UAVs.

The SSM announcement did not limit the RFI for ship-based UAVs to local companies. The deadline for responses by interested companies to deliver their responses to the SSM is 17 July.
