28 June 2017

South Korea's LIG Nex1 has signed an agreement with the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) to co-develop systems for military and commercial aircraft, it has been announced.

LIG Nex1 said in a statement that the memorandum of understanding (MOU), which was signed during the 2017 Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, will initially focus on the joint development of an embedded training system for fighter aircraft pilots.

Kwon Hee-won, the chief executive of LIG Nex1, said the company “will [look to] contribute to local fighter jet development projects and also find new business opportunities abroad”.
