Safran and Thai Aviation Industries sign helicopter engine accord

Safran Helicopter Engines (Safran HE) has signed an agreement with Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) to support powerplants fitted onto helicopters operated by the Royal Thai Armed Forces.

Under the memorandum of understanding (MOU), which was signed on 20 June at the Paris Air Show, the two companies will co-operate in providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services to a range of Airbus Helicopters platforms operated by the Thai military and other government agencies.

The MOU features collaboration in providing helicopter engine line maintenance, depot repair, inventory management, and technical support to ensure the availability of Safran HE engines in operation in Thailand, said Safran in a press release.
