Kelowna’s KF Aerospace (Booth 1824) has been awarded two military maintenance contracts valued at more than $30 million. The first is a $21.8million contract to help maintain the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-115 Buffalo search and rescue aircraft for three years.
The second, worth $9.6 million, will help maintain the RCAF’s CC-138 Twin Otter transport aircraft for four years. Both contracts include options for extensions. “We’re very pleased to now be maintaining these airplanes right through to what we hope is the end of the serviceable life of the aircraft,” said KF Aerospace president Tracy Medve.
Canada has six Buffalos based at Comox, British Columbia, and the four Twin Otters are stationed at Yellowknife, North West Territories.
