South Korean president orders probe into additional THAAD rocket launchers

31 May 2017

South Korea's new president, Moon Jae-in, has ordered a special investigation after the Ministry of National Defence (MND) in Seoul failed to inform him that four additional rocket launchers for the US Army's Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system had been brought into the country, according to a statement by the presidential office on 30 May.
