Ukraine develops rocket grenade system

26 May 2017

Ukraine's State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch has developed a new manportable rocket grenade system. While the system does not yet have an official designation, details of its capabilities have emerged.

Designed for use against lightly armoured and unarmoured equipment, structures, and personnel, the rocket grenade launcher has a minimum range of 70 m and a maximum range of 1,800 m when used for non-direct fire, with the latter falling to 600 m when used in a direct-fire capacity.

A new undisclosed electro-optical sighting system automates the firing angle for the user, indicating that the system also incorporates a ballistic computer adjusting for range and target movement.
