The US Navy (USN) is planning to integrate and test Link 16 data connectivity on the Northrop Grumman MQ-8C Fire Scout unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to demonstrate transmission of in-flight target updates (IFTU) for network-enabled weapons.
In a pre-solicitation notice posted on 9 May, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) said it planned to negotiate a single-source contract with Northrop Grumman for Link 16 hardware and software integration.
