In early March the company was awarded a CAD1 million (USD735,000) contract from Public Services and Procurement Canada for three J8 Atlas XTRs for evaluation, and testing was carried out by Defence Research and Development Canada at the Suffield Research Centre near Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Elsewhere, the US Army's Rapid Equipping Force (REF) also purchased several vehicles in recent months, testing them at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) in Butlerville, Indiana, with a view to ultimately deploying the vehicle in defence operations.
