Freewave Technologies is to release its Zumlink Z9-PC embedded radio within the next four to six weeks, following certification testing.
The Zumlink is a 900 MHz ISM-band radio that is available in three different versions.
The fully enclosed module has a radio module on an interface card with two serial ports, an Ethernet connection, and is fully ruggedised and enclosed. The company also offers the radio on a separate board that can embedded.
Speaking at Xponential 2017 in Dallas, Texas, Scott Allen, Freewave Technologies chief marketing officer, told Jane's , "The embeddable module is designed to go into OEM settings for automated or unmanned vehicles [air- or ground-ground based for example the Talon UGV].
