Logos Technologies completed a second flight test of its Redkite Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) sensor aboard an Insitu Integrator unmanned aircraft system (UAS), confirming the reliability of the communications system and that the processing capability was working.
Logos wanted to be certain the communications system was reliable after experiencing some dropouts in the first flight in February 2017. The dropouts were a result of a configuration issue, John Marion, president of Logos Technologies told Jane's .
"We confirmed that the processing reliably does capture rendering and stabilisation of the imagery and that processing was able to keep up with the throughput," Marion said.
