05 May 2017

Analysis of commercial satellite imagery of North Korea's Sinpo South Shipyard indicates new activity at the facility's missile test stand, according to a report published on 4 May by the 38 North website.

Captured on 29 April, the images show a heavy-lift crane with its stabiliser legs deployed and boom extended out over the test stand's service tower, along with a 13 m-long flatbed truck adjacent to it on the access road, according to Joseph S Bermudez Jr in a report published by 38 North: a programme of the US-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University's Paul H Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.
