Hurkus conducts initial missile launch with L-UMTAS

Turkish Aerospace Industries' (TAI's) Hurkus single-engine turboprop aircraft conducted an initial missile launch with a Roketsan L-UMTAS laser-guided air-to-surface long-range anti-tank missile at the Firing Test and Evaluation Centre range near Karapinar, Konya, on 7 March.

Developed by TIA as a new basic trainer and ground-attack aircraft for the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), Hurkus will be armed with Roketsan UMTAS infrared-guided anti-tank missiles, Cirit 70 mm laser-guided rockets, and bombs equipped with Teber precision guidance kits.
