Having established its presence here in the UAE 20 years ago, renowned US company Rockwell Collins (Stand 02-B20) is strengthening the relationship through expansion of operations as part of building industrial capabilities.
Besides programmes for students to train with Rockwell Collins in France, the company has appointed new leadership for the region. New managing director for Middle East, Turkey and North Africa, Talel Kamel, will develop the company’s commercial and government systems business interests, while newly appointed sales director for the Middle East and Africa, Bernard Bouillaud, will lead a team dedicated to the defence market.
“We plan to double the business development team working out of Rockwell Collins’s regional headquarters in Dubai and our offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi,” said Claude Alber, vice president and managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We’re fulfilling our strategy to strengthen and build new relationships in this region by putting the right resources where our customers need them.”
At IDEX, the company is showing its flexible and modular Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics system as well as mission system (pictured), which is now available for light attack and trainer (LATR) platforms. Pro Line Fusion is operational on several different platforms, including business jet, air transport, tilt-rotor and military flight decks. It has also been demonstrated as a ground control station for UAS applications. “Its scalable architecture, total connectivity, intuitive decision-making tools and advanced situational awareness capabilities enhance safety and efficiency for a vast range of platforms and missions,” noted Alber.
Shown for the first time in Abu Dhabi is Rockwell Collins’s innovative high-performance PSR-500 perimeter surveillance radar featuring frequency modulated continuous wave operation.
