Renowned German electronics company Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) (Stand 06-C06) is showcasing a range of its advanced technologies for radio monitoring, secure communications and innovative platforms for interoperable communications systems.
Its new ELINT system developed for ease of operation is optimised for detecting, monitoring and analysing modern advanced radar signals.
Already deployed by major European nations, the system has proven itself in acquiring weak and LPI (low probability of intercept) signals in dense signal environments, and analysing multi-functional radars with complex signal structures.
Secure communications can prove difficult where different armed forces need to operate jointly yet need to protect national information. R&S uses state-of-the-art IP technologies that permit the flexible use of waveforms.
The company’s Ardronis radio monitoring solution allows for early detection and location of the signals used to control commercial drones and, if necessary, prevent the drones from being used.
R&S Navics (pictured) is the first system to take advantage of commercially available IT technologies for naval military communications.
Both the British Royal Navy and the Royal Malaysian Army have referenced the system. Navics is an IP- based system, interconnecting the distributed on-board voice terminals and all other subsystems for internal and external communications via a uniform IP network.
