Spanish plane parts maker Aernnova has signed a deal with Macquarie Capital to take over its US company Brek Manufacturing, which specialises in the production of high precision structural components for the aerospace sector.
No details of the purchase price have been released by the Alava-based company for Brek, which is headquartered in Gardena, California.
Founded in 1968, the US company reported sales of USD43 million in its last financial year. In 2010 it won the Boeing Performance Excellence award, and other major customers include Northrop Grumman, Spirit, and SpaceX.
Brek has also worked on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and F/A-18 Hornet fighters, and the new Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
