Lockheed Martin has conducted a second test of its modernised Tactical Missile System (TACMS) at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, demonstrating the missile's Proximity Sensor Height of Burst enhancement.

"The most recent System Qualification Test (SQT-3) flight successfully completed in mid- December 2016 was fired from a HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) launcher and flew a short-range trajectory with detonation event at short range (71km)," Missy Holmes, Missiles & Fire Control business lead for Lockheed Martin, told IHS Jane's .
