USN buys additional GAJT antennas from NovAtel

25 October 2016

NovAtel will provide additional GPS Anti-Jam Technology (GAJT) systems to the US Naval Observatory (USNO) to satisfy a requirement for a Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) capability at sites throughout the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). The order brings the number of GAJT antennas procured by the US Navy to more than 600.

GAJT is a commercial off-the-shelf system that can protect any military and civilian receivers, Peter Soar, business development manager, military and defence, for NovAtel told IHS Jane's.

In fact, there is no reason to replace an existing GPS receiver, he noted.

"We don't want to tell people to rip out everything they have and install our system," Soar said.
