Four of the world’s most recognisable names in armaments, optics and aiming systems have come together to provide the military and law enforcement agencies with the best possible solutions. BDT, also known as Beretta Defense Technologies, is showcasing a range of its products at SOFEX (Hall 1, Stand B149), comprising firearms, clothing and accessories, optronics and rifle ammunition.
BDT is the strategic alliance of four Beretta Holding companies, namely Beretta, Benelli, Sako and Steiner. It is no exaggeration to say that in BDT resides centuries of experience. Beretta was founded in 1526, making it the oldest firearms factory in the world. Sako of Finland is widely regarded as a pioneer of sniper rifles and quality ammunition, whose rifles are sought-after by Special Forces around the world.
Italy-based Benelli has built an enviable reputation for tactical semi-automatics, rifles and pump-action shotguns. German firm Steiner is one of the most advanced manufacturers of military binoculars and rifle scopes in the world.
Jarno Antonelli, defence and law enforcement communication specialist at Beretta, explained that the alliance is more than its products; it is able to enhance the performance of each product provided.
Not only does it enable government agencies to obtain the vital tools to address the requirements of modern combat and policing, but it also gives modern soldiers and law enforcement officers full confidence in the equipment they use.
