The difficulties faced by small and medium-sized defence companies when trying to enter the international market, especially in the MENA region and Turkey, can be smoothed out.
Ottawa-headquartered Chateau Marketing Consultants (Hall 1, Stand C115) has teamed up with Asthenius Capital of the UK to support business development, contract negotiation and project management, with an eye on assisting foreign companies.
“By working together with Asthenius Capital, we at Chateau ensure that interested companies can now benefit from a group of experienced defence and financial/ legal professionals,” said Bruce Fox, president of Chateau Marketing Consultants. “This is the result of our knowledge of the Turkish and MENA defence markets, the regulatory frameworks and compliance issues.”
This view is echoed by Alp Sevimlisoy, chief executive officer of Asthenius Capital: “Foreign firms often select the wrong partners or do not have the necessary resources to respond to these markets.
Besides determining the local requirements for such firms, we also consult with military end-users to help further refine requirements and facilitate the selection of the right solutions from credible suppliers.”
Chateau Marketing Consultants, along with a regional affiliate in Abu Dhabi, UAE, specialises in sourcing solutions from NATO member country suppliers that best respond to requirements of the military and special forces in the region.
