Making the announcement at Eurosatory, Molecular Products chief executive Ian McKernan said that by making the ground-breaking medical emergency kit available to the market, it “can start to deliver the lifesaving support it has been designed for”.
The handheld personal oxygen generator has already received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration. It is nonexplosive and unpressurised, and importantly requires no maintenance, mixing, filling or electricity.
Starting the ROG requires no more than twisting a simple mechanism to initiate the oxygen flow through standard tubing to the patient.
The oxygen generator would be particularly useful to special operations forces, humanitarian aid workers, search and rescue teams and others operating in challenging environments.
